Reading between old photographs, Maithili songs, letters sent, unsent, and diary entries, Kanchan captures the zest of a woman from Jharkhand, and her life before she migrated to a city. The exhibit is a meditation on the life my mother lived before she arrived at her marriage and achingly gives a hint of the life she could've lived had she not.
