This blog attempts to document the sweet and erratic nothings of life, elaborate on the etcetera, and mark my existence in this grand ecosystem. Living Conditions is a recollection of events from my memory, and a love letter to every person, and place I have known. Rude Poems are some poems from yours truly. Sometimes they refuse to be a poem. Reference Backs are ruminations on all the films I watch, books I read, or any art that has stayed with me. Gallery houses some of my own quirky photographs and my Instagram feed, which is a visual documentation of my life since 2016.
Finally, this might disappoint those who come here assuming that this is a bildungsroman in making. The contents of this website will not serve as a means for reading into my own personal life. Details of all nature might have been exaggerated or suppressed for dramatic purposes. Memory is unreliable and words can be deceitful. You've been warned.
My Story
writer of poems, admirer of leaves, and stalker of streets, I am essentially a small-town girl who found home in Delhi. I mostly think in English, dream in Hindi, sing in Bengali, and love in Maithili. I can't mark the exact moment when I first felt free but I knew it was an arrival: to a certain kind of life, a new journey, and experiences characterized by frailty and zeal - something that I had long since desired.
I hope my words can speak to you and, I hope we can feel a brief friendship in this small, fleeting, and transcendental space.
